Required Windows Components

Install these official Microsoft components before starting Nexdus, especially on a new Windows installation.

1. Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable x86 (required even on 64-bit Windows): Download from Microsoft
2. DirectX End-User Runtime (legacy game libraries): Download from Microsoft
3. Graphics driver: install the latest driver offered for your laptop by its manufacturer, or use NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel.

Clean Installation

1. Wait until the ZIP download is completely finished.
2. Right-click the ZIP, choose Properties, select Unblock if shown, then apply.
3. Extract the complete archive into a new folder. Do not run the game from inside the ZIP and do not overwrite an older client. Leave the internal data.zip file compressed beside the client executable; do not extract or delete it.
4. Start NEXDUS.bat for DirectX. If it fails, try NEXDUS-OpenGL.bat.

If the Client Still Closes

Do not disable Windows Security. Check its Protection History and allow the client only if Windows confirms that the downloaded file came from nexdus.net. Send us nexdus.log, crashreport.log, your Windows version, and graphics card model.
